Our story
Originally from Bikaner, Rajasthan, Lala Bhimsain Ji and Lala Banwari Lal Ji arrived in Delhi in 1936. Driven by their entrepreneurial spirit, they quickly established a presence—first by setting up shop at the Sessions Court on Ferozshah Road. In 1937, they opened a new shop in Bengali Market, right next to the emerging grandeur of Lutyens’ Connaught Place. From humble beginnings, they steadily built their enterprise from the ground up, pioneering the concept of serving popular street food in a clean, family-friendly restaurant setting. Their vision not only elevated everyday flavors but also introduced “Bengali Sweets” to the heart of Delhi—setting a new benchmark for quality and experience in the city’s culinary scene.
